1. In today’s market, what’s one practical business tweak that can meaningfully increase an agent’s closings this year?

The biggest shift agents need to make is moving from activity that looks productive to activity that creates conversations.

That means the real advantage is shifting back to something timeless — and increasingly rare:

2. What are most agents spending time on that doesn’t actually move the needle?

Optimizing visibility instead of building relationships.

There’s enormous energy being spent on content creation, branding tweaks, and endless system customization.

Those activities feel productive.

They look productive.

But visibility without connection rarely converts.

Technology has made production easier — which ironically makes distraction easier too.

A simple filter helps:

👉 Does this activity create a conversation or an appointment?

If not, it might just be busywork wearing a productivity costume.

3. If an agent could fix just one thing in how they structure their day or workflow, what should it be?

Design your day around proactive creation instead of reactive response.

Most agents start by reacting — emails, notifications, incoming noise.

Top performers start by initiating:

  • Outreach

  • Follow-up

  • Appointment setting

In an AI-driven world where speed is accelerating, initiating matters more than reacting.

4. What’s a small change in follow-up or lead management that typically produces measurable results?

Treat follow-up as a structured system — not a personal habit.

The highest conversion rates come from clarity and consistency:

  • Faster responses

  • Defined next steps

  • Predictable follow-up rhythms

AI tools can support this, but intentionality is still the driver.

Every conversation should end with a clear plan for what happens next.

5. Where is technology genuinely saving time right now — and where is it creating distractions?

Technology saves time when it removes repetitive execution:

Drafting communication.
Organizing information.
Accelerating research.

It becomes a distraction when agents chase tools instead of mastering strategy.

AI should eliminate friction — not replace thinking.

The agents who win will use technology to amplify their human strengths:

Judgment.
Empathy.
Negotiation.

6. What’s one business decision agents make that directly affects their income but often goes unexamined?

The professional ecosystem they place themselves in.

Many agents focus heavily on splits, fees, or tools.

But environment shapes performance.

Your peer group.
Your leadership access.
Your collaborative opportunities.

High-performing environments don’t just provide resources — they raise expectations.

And expectations change outcomes.

7. What mindset shift separates agents who grow in a shifting market from those who stall?

Seeing change as redistribution rather than disruption.

Every market shift reallocates opportunity.

Agents who grow focus on where opportunity is moving instead of wishing conditions were different.

8. Can you share a real example of an agent who made a simple adjustment and saw improved production?

One agent stopped constantly searching for new leads and instead systematically re-engaged past clients and dormant contacts.

They didn’t change platforms.

They didn’t increase marketing spend.

They simply increased meaningful conversations with people who already trusted them.

Listings followed.

Often the fastest growth comes from maximizing existing relationships rather than chasing new systems.

9. What’s one operational habit top-producing agents consistently maintain that others don’t?

They operate from measurable clarity instead of emotional perception.

Top agents know their numbers:

  • Conversations

  • Appointments

  • Conversion rates

As automation increases, clarity becomes even more valuable because it allows agents to focus on the highest-leverage actions.

10. If you had to give agents three focused priorities for the next 12 months, what would they be?

First, deepen and activate your existing relationships — your database remains the most undervalued asset in the business.

Second, adopt AI strategically to eliminate low-value tasks so you can focus on advising, negotiating, and relationship-building.

Third, intentionally align yourself with environments and partnerships that expand leverage.

The next phase of growth belongs to agents who collaborate and scale intelligently.

The future doesn’t belong to agents with the most tools.

It belongs to agents with the most clarity.
