🏆 We Said It First: How Make Housing Great Again Became Our Signature Call to Action

In an industry overflowing with recycled headlines, doom-and-gloom narratives, and copy-paste “analysis,” it’s rare for a genuinely original idea to break through. But over the last several months, one phrase has taken root across our newsletters, podcasts, and coaching: Make Housing Great Again.

And it’s time to say this clearly and confidently:

We coined it.

No one used it, framed it, or built a thesis around it before we did.

Not NAR.
Not housing economists.
Not pundits.
Not think tanks.
Not policymakers.
Not real estate influencers.
No one.

This slogan didn’t come from a political campaign or a marketing department. It came from the same place so much of our work does: observing the real market, identifying the real opportunities, and giving agents language that cuts through confusion.

Why It Matters That We Coined It

“Make Housing Great Again” is more than a catchy line. It's a framework—a way to understand the next major shift in the housing market and the once-in-a-generation opportunities that will follow.

When we first introduced it, we tied it to a very specific, data-driven macro outlook:

  1. GSE Reform → Lower Mortgage Rates
    Releasing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from conservatorship, recapitalizing through IPO, and restoring competition could lower borrowing costs 75–150 bps. No one connected that policy scenario to future transaction volume under this banner until we did.

  2. Deregulation and Permitting Reform → More Inventory
    A clear national push to cut red tape and accelerate permitting would unleash millions of units currently frozen by bureaucracy.

  3. Federal Land Access → New Housing Pipelines
    Opening strategic federal parcels to development could be the biggest unlock of “instant inventory” in decades.

  4. Energy Expansion → Lower Inflation → Lower Rates
    Expanded domestic energy production feeds directly into reduced materials and transportation costs, easing construction inflation and improving affordability.

  5. Tariff Restructuring + Reshoring → Higher Wages + More Demand
    We highlighted how only 25% of U.S. consumer goods are imported, making targeted tariffs not just feasible but potentially stimulative.

  6. Demographic Tailwinds Too Big to Ignore
    Peak-buying-age Millennials + early Gen Z = a demand engine that will run for the next decade.

  7. Mobility Surge When Rates Drop
    Millions of “locked-in” homeowners will move the moment financing normalizes. This alone could ignite the biggest transaction wave since the early 2000s.


    All of these forces were connected, articulated, and packaged under a single rallying cry here, first.

How the Phrase Took Off

The more we used it—on Real Estate Coaching Radio, inside Premier Coaching, across Harris Real Estate Daily—the more it resonated.

Because it captures what agents feel:
Housing isn’t broken.
It’s constrained.
Fix the constraints, and America unleashes a housing boom.

It’s optimistic without being naïve.
Data-driven without being academic.
Bold without being political.
And it frames real estate agents not as victims of market cycles—but as prepared leaders for the next one.

Why Others Are Starting to Repeat It

As we predicted, the idea is spreading.
